Cypress Planning Group Welcomes Allison Marrero as Vice President of
Business Development & Operations

Cypress Planning Group is proud to announce the addition of hospitality trailblazer Allison Marrero as the company’s Vice President of Business Development and Operations. This strategic hire reflects Cypress Planning Group’s continued commitment to client relationships and expanded growth. 

 

Allison’s story is rooted in a deep love for hospitality – and the relationships that have shaped her along the way.  With more than 26 years in the hospitality industry, Marrero has held a variety of roles within the Hyatt brand including Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and ultimately a key position on the Global Sales team. Allison recalls, “My very first job after graduating college was at the Grand Hyatt Denver as a ‘Meeting Connections Assistant’ and it laid the groundwork for my career.” 

 

Known for her empathetic leadership and forward-thinking approach, Allison has long championed modern, flexible work environments and high-performing teams. As a Global Sales Director, Allison developed and nurtured some of the industry’s most trusted client relationships. “That chapter of my career is one of my favorites,” she reflects. “Not just because of the work itself, but because of the people. I was surrounded by some of the smartest clients and most supportive colleagues I've ever known. We challenged and complimented each other, and we grew together.”

 

Before joining Cypress Planning Group, Allison led business development and operations for the Savannah College of Art and Design’s innovation studio and honed her cross-functional strategy and leadership skills at the American Society of Interior Designers.  Now, she returns to her roots in hospitality with fresh perspective and purpose.
